Want to join the Coffs Coast Regional Science Hub?

What is it?

The Coffs Coast Regional Science Hub is a network of government and community organisations, plus local STEAM professionals, businesses, artists and schools, working together to connect our community with science for a sustainable future.

Providing community access to science and technology has many benefits, from sparking curiosity and helping people to understand how to take an evidence-based approach to making decisions about issues that affect them, to inspiring young people about the interesting careers that flow from science, technology, engineering and maths studies.

Supported by Inspiring Australia, our Hub is focused on connecting our communities with science for a sustainable future.

Who can join?

Our Hub is focused

Any government or community organisations, local STEAM professionals, businesses, artists and schools can join the Hub.

If you are keen to connecting our communities with science for a sustainable future and meet other like-minded people, then the Hub is for you!

How does it work?

We meet up quarterly and connect via email and FB to create and/or promote engaging science/arts events together.

We are building our Facebook and mailing list communities and use these platforms to let people know about our events and Hub meet-ups.

What is Inspiring Australia?

Our Hub has received funding in 2018 to create an Elemental Nature series of events.

Inspiring Australia supports Regional Science Hubs to create conscious citizens who care about and take action in this world

Inspiring Australia is about connecting scientists to the broader community and bridging the gap between science and society. The strategy is based on a ‘national framework-local action” approach. Science Hubs provide the grassroots, ground up means of achieving impact by facilitating the delivery of science outreach programs at a local level.
