Andrew Turbill led this overnight hike into the trackless wilds where participants made a remote camp among the trunks of ancient forests. Senior EYE’s walked to the sound of water cascading down the high falls and bathed in the cool plunge pool on first light. A short, steep trek to the top of the first falls provides spectacular views over the entire valley. In addition to soaking up the spectacular scenery, this camp offered opportunities for other wild learning, including sessions led by Andrew on bird language, map reading, bush navigation and hand-drill fire making.
